Programs

Our programs support emergent curriculum. An emergent curriculum follows the developmental needs, the learning needs and the interests of the child. We believe that children learn best when they are actively involved in purposeful learning situations. We support their interests and explore them throughout the day and during daily group-time sessions. We use the Montessori Program, which includes language, sensorial, mathematic, practical life, and music, to guide our teaching. Reggio Emilia philosophies also inform our practice.

Our Circle Time program focuses on the use of stories, poetry, rhymes, song and dance to help children discover, explore, and understand the world around them. We offer an early reading program which will enable children to be well prepared for reading in primary school. We also have more focused learning circles and centres to foster children’s interests in language (English, Mandarin and French), sciences, mathematics, lifeskills, and movement.
