Eugene Cheung
With nearly 10 years of experience in early childhood education, I am passionate about creating a nurturing, inclusive, and engaging learning environment where every child can grow with confidence and curiosity. Throughout my career working with children aged 2 to 6 in daycare and kindergarten settings, I have focused on supporting children’s social, emotional and cognitive development through thoughtful guidance and meaningful learning experiences.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from the The Education University of Hong Kong and am a licensed Early Childhood Educator in British Columbia with Infant/Toddler and Special Needs certifications. I began my career in education in 2012 and became a certified kindergarten teacher in Hong Kong in 2017. I also worked as a Special Child Care Worker for two years, supporting children with diverse developmental and learning needs. These experiences have strengthened my commitment to inclusive education and individualized support, ensuring that every child feels valued and supported.
To further enhance my professional knowledge and teaching practice, I am currently studying for the Montessori Early Childhood Credential through the American Montessori Society. I am committed to continuous learning and professional growth in order to provide high-quality early childhood education.
I was delighted to join Little Koala Montessori Academy in August 2024. As Centre Manager, I am committed to maintaining a safe, supportive and high-quality learning environment while working closely with educators and families to support each child’s development. I look forward to collaborating with parents and growing together with the children in our care.
